CENTRE OF ARENA
1ST SET DOWN 2ND SET DOWN 3RD SET DOWN
JUDGES TABLE MARSHALL
- Leave the piece of equipment you are starting your routine with, either with or near the marshall, not on the floor, in case someone would fall over it.
- Walk onto the floor, across the front of the judges table and place your equipment down, starting from the furthest away from the marshall.
- Return to the marshall
- When told to do so, walk smartly onto the floor (you are being marked for this), ready for your march on
- March on
- After you have salute, turn to the back of the arena as you would normally do,
- March off.
- After halt, turn to the judges and walk smartly towards the judges table ( you will be marked for this) to the piece of equipment nearest the marshall or where you walk on from, collecting the last piece which you had originally set down first.
This way the next contestant can be getting ready to walk onto the floor to set their equipment down

UPDATE
Many troupes have contacted Eileen, Sue Bright and Pat Coles with regards to what is happening within the U.K.F.M, unfortunately with the uncertain times we have all experienced over the last year or so, Eileen cannot give you 100% answers, but that’s not to say we are not discussing options.
Although some troupes have been able to get back together, many troupes are still not back into their normal training halls. We understand that it’s been extremely hard for all the girls and boys, not being able to take part in regular training or seeing their troupes members.
Eileen intends for the U.K.F.M to continue but although we have been enquiring about halls, many will not let us book anything as yet, putting the U.K.F.M in a tricky spot.
When we are able to get back and taking into account that it is safe for all who are taking part in the competitions, Eileen is looking to hold one competition in each area for this season. Of course, this could change as things start to get back to some normality but for now, this is Eileen’s plan but she cannot give an exact date at this present time.
Eileen would like to remind you that all who qualified during the 2019-2020 season for Nationals will still be able to take part in the “Bubble Nationals”, once it can be arranged.
The first step we would like to take, is for the Academy of Twirl to start grades. We will not be doing any seminars and the grades may not be the full range of equipment but Sam and myself have started to talk about how this can be achieved. Of course, this all depends on the A.O.T being able to hire a hall.
Guidelines will be set out and everyone will be asked to adhere to them for the safety of all attending. Once we know anything, the Academy of Twirl will be in touch with the full details.
In the meantime, because there will be no seminars taking place on the day, if you do have any questions at all regarding how the twirls in the grades need to be done correctly, please contact the Academy via their email address [email protected] and someone will get back to you.
Eileen will be sending registration forms out in the next few weeks. She has asked me to make it clear that all troupes who paid and registered in June/July 2020, will NOT have to pay again, your money has been held over for the 2021-2022 season. Although Eileen has asked that any amendments to last year registration forms or any new information including new members joining fees are sent to her.
We hope this clears up any concerns you may have. Fingers crossed, we will be able to get back together sooner rather than later.
Many thanks for your patience and understanding.

Update
It is coming up to a year since we should have been attending Pontins Camber Sands for the National Finals 2020, it was hoped we could postpone this for a year and have the 2020 National Finals in 2021. However due to the ongoing pandemic this is unable to happen.
As I am sure many of you are aware there are some results which were being held over to be announced at the National Finals. Certificates and trophies have now been made for these results.
The certificates have been sent out to Troupe Leaders and they have been asked to not release the results until all Troupes have received their certificates. This is to ensure that everyone knows their results at the same time. The release date for the results is Sunday 28th February at 12 noon. At this time the results will be shared with troupe members and/or on social media.
Please note Troupes have only received results for their Troupe, not the full results.
Trophies have been made and a date and time will be arranged to meet with a representative from each area to distribute these.
Well done to you all.

Copy of email sent to Troupe Leaders and Judges
Hi Everyone,
I am sending this email on behalf of Eileen and with her consent.
I hope this finds you all well and staying safe.
We understand we have not contacted you in a while but it’s only because there has been no news to tell you, Eileen has had to take things as the information is available to her.
Just because you haven’t heard from us, doesn’t mean to say nothing has been happening, discussions have been going ahead behind the scenes. As you can image, it is important that what is put in place will safeguard everyone involved.
Eileen would like to confirm, as many of you have already guessed, we will not be going to Pontins this year, 2020. Eileen is awaiting information regarding next year's Pontins.
We will be updating you on the plans Eileen has within the next few weeks.
At the moment, it is more than likely we will not be doing any groups as it will be near impossible to social distance.
We understand it has been extremely hard for the boys and girls as they are used to twirling together as a team.
Also with most of the troupes training in schools and halls, which are still not open, it’s difficult to know what to do for the best. Fingers crossed, come September, we will have moved on a little more and it won’t be too long till the U.K.F.M are back together again.
If I have missed anyone off this email. please pass it on.
Please continue to follow the government guideline and stay safe.
Thank you for bearing with us at this difficult time.

A reminder to all troupe leaders it will be the same as last year in respect to solo’s whereby if there is not enough entries in an age group they will be joined with an age either side whichever is the smallest ( unless the age groups either side are too big).
Please also note that for groups and duo's etc if only one or two are entered it does not mean they will automatically get first and second, it will be judged on the standard required.
